About the Project

Cotleur & Hearing, an award‐winning landscape architectural firm headquartered in Jupiter, Florida, was retained to develop a new Master Plan for a branch campus of Christ Fellowship Church located on 321‐acres in Stuart, Florida east of Pratt Whitney Road, west of South Fork High School and southwest of Ronald Reagan Turnpike.

Having maintained excellent relationships with Martin County staff and council members, the company was chosen to implement the project because of their outstanding reputation of developing and implementing site plans for large developments that preserve the surrounding environment.

Cotleur & Hearing designed the plan to include a 32,191 sq. ft. worship center, 17,764 sq. ft. educational building, 499 parking spaces (188 impervious, 311 grass), internal access drives and pedestrian paths but left more than 307 acres of the site undisturbed allowing large existing strands of native vegetation to remain. They also included two retention ponds, one 5,000 sq. ft. open‐air structure, two 800 square foot pavilions and landscaping.

Cotleur & Hearing was also chosen for this project because of their expertise in creating plans that are the most convenient and accessible to large populations. Of the plan’s many features to accommodate the community, the company also included multiple ingress /egress locations to ease traffic and allow for a less congested roadway at the Church driveway intersections.
