Cotleur & Hearing recently secured final approval for a new Dogs World Canine Resort along Kanner Highway in Martin County. The new 6,800-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility will be located on a six-acre property adjacent to an existing veterinary office, creating a complementary relationship between the neighboring uses.
More than four acres of the property will remain as preserve area, with extensive restoration efforts planned to enhance and protect the site’s existing wetlands. The resort will also feature a 12,500-square-foot outdoor play yard with a variety of equipment and amenities designed to provide plenty of space for dogs to play and explore.
Cotleur & Hearing guided the development through the Martin County entitlement process, providing land planning, site planning, and landscape architecture services. The approved plan thoughtfully balances the operational needs of the canine resort with the site’s environmental features, creating a new destination for local pet owners while preserving and enhancing much of the natural property.
