Kicking Off the Parks Master Plan Survey at the Lake Clarke Shores Community BBQ

On February 15, our team attended the Lake Clarke Shores Community BBQ, an event with over 1,000 residents, to initiate the public engagement process for the town’s Parks Master Plan. The final deliverable will include a comprehensive Master Plan for North Park, Memorial Park, and Pine Tree Park, outlining park-specific concepts and broader design guidelines for future improvements.

McKenna West and Maegan Mikkelson represented our team at the event, engaging with residents and introducing the survey process. The Community BBQ provided an ideal setting to gather initial feedback on park amenities, recreational needs, and long-term enhancements. To encourage participation, they distributed business cards with a QR code linking to the online survey, making it easy for attendees to provide input at their convenience.

With the survey now underway, we will begin analyzing the results to identify key themes and community priorities. The next step will be a community charrette, where we will refine the survey findings and develop preliminary design concepts for each park. These interactive discussions will help shape the final vision, ensuring the Parks Master Plan aligns with both the town’s goals and resident expectations.

This engagement-driven approach allows us to create a thoughtful, cohesive plan that enhances Lake Clarke Shores’ parks and open spaces while preserving its unique character. We look forward to continuing this process and developing innovative design solutions that reflect the community’s vision.
