Making an Impact: Tree Planting for a Greener Dyer Park
Leah Heinzelmann and Phoebe Prentner rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty for a great cause at a Community Greening tree planting event at Dyer Park. Partnering with PBC Parks and the Florida Forest Service, they joined fellow volunteers to help plant more than 100 Florida native shade trees along the park’s walking and mountain bike trails.
This impactful effort will create cooler temperatures, provide much needed shade for walkers and bikers, and contribute to a healthier, greener community space for years to come. Guided by Community Greening arborists and tree technicians, volunteers of all skill levels worked together to make a lasting difference, proving that a little dirt, teamwork, and dedication can go a long way toward growing a more sustainable future.
