Greenwich at Abacoa by New Urban Communities sets the standard for design innovation and true mixed‐use design. The project exemplifies a Traditional Neighborhood Development (TND) within a mixture of retail, restaurant, office and residential uses. Residential uses include urban town homes, live‐work units,work‐live town homes with commercial uses on the ground floor and residential lofts. The design of the project considered the need to attract vehicular and pedestrian traffic to the site from the adjacent thoroughfare while simultaneously respecting the sensitivities of the adjacent TND neighborhood. Clock towers, fountains and architectural features create layered vistas and special, urban spaces for the pedestrian.
