Morse Life Assisted Living Facility

About the Project

Cotleur & Hearing, Inc. was retained by the Morse Geriatric Center to assist in the landscape, architectural design, site planning and zoning entitlement for the proposed expansion to the Morse congregate living facility located in West Palm Beach, Florida. The proposed project focused on providing the elderly with assisted‐living housing opportunities that were complimentary to the existing adult‐congregate living facility and nursing home existing on the property. Cotleur & Hearing worked carefully with the design team which included Perkins Eastman Architects of New York. The landscape design included healing and interpretive gardens designed to create inspiration and improve the quality of life for the seniors. A special Alzheimer’s garden was provided to make available outdoor opportunities for dementia patients including garden areas to be maintained by the patients. Phase I of construction was completed in 2005. Cotleur & Hearing has begun and is currently working on Phase II of construction. This includes the expansion of the existing residential building with a pool, landscaped courtyard additional parking for both residents and employees.
