Cotleur & Hearing, Inc. was retained by Hallmark Senior Housing to develop plans for an assisted and independent living facility to be integrated into the fabric of the Windsor Park residential neighbor- hood in Abacoa. Cotleur & Hearing’s design staff worked closely with the developers of the adjacent residential neighborhood, Pulte Homes and the Abacoa Property Owners Assembly to develop a plan that would meet the specific project objectives and satisfy the requirements of the Mixed-Use Development Regulations. The buildings were designed to serve as terminated vistas and focal points to existing major streets within the neighborhood. Building forms were set to engage the street and to create a variety of public/ private spaces that would be inviting to the residents of the assisted living facility and the Windsor Park neighborhood.
