Nicole Plunkett, PLA, AICP
As Co-President of Cotleur & Hearing, Nicole Plunkett is a trusted leader in land planning and landscape architecture. She brings a collaborative approach to guiding projects from concept through approval, developing strategies that streamline entitlements, secure approvals, and deliver value-driven results. Her expertise includes entitlement strategy, zoning analysis, conditional use approvals, tenant space planning, permitted use determinations, and large-scale master planning. Nicole has led projects ranging from redevelopment, mixed-use, transit-oriented, multifamily, and workforce housing developments to golf course and country club design, clubhouse and amenity enhancements, parks, playgrounds, and community public spaces. Working closely with the Cotleur & Hearing team, she provides the vision, experience, and resources needed to bring projects to completion.
Beyond her project work, Nicole serves on the Executive Board of Directors for the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce and as Chair of the Professional Advisory Council for the University of Florida Department of Landscape Architecture. She is also the founder of Future Landscape Architects of America, a nonprofit that recently celebrated its ten-year anniversary. One of her proudest accomplishments, the program introduces K–12 students to the profession of landscape architecture and was further supported nationally through the Landscape Architecture Foundation Fellowship for Innovation and Leadership. Outside the office, Nicole is an avid pickleball enthusiast and proudly holds a world ranking in the game of Minesweeper.
